Al-Nakheel, part of Fine Hygienic Holding company, is investing to build a 144,000 square meter paper factory producing hygienic household tissues in ICAD 2 (Industrial City Abu Dhabi 2). The facility is targeting an initial production capacity of 60,000 tons per year of paper tissues in phase one with the potential to double this capacity to 120,000 tons per year in phase two in the coming three to four years. Once phase one of this project is completed, the facility will be the biggest tissue paper manufacturing plant in the UAE and will represent a 40 per cent increase in production for Al-Nakheel globally. The new facility will be fitted with the most advanced tissue making technology made by Swedish company almet and able to produce 2,200 meters of tissue paper per minute.
